Week 4: Humbled, Rainy Days and the Smells of Home

I am way happy that you will be able to see my life in pictures. Its been a weird 4 weeks and the time flew by! Please enjoy the pictures. The CCM is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I really enjoy it here. In less then 2 weeks I will be out in the real world speaking spanish with my new companion!!! It's so crazy to think that I only have 2 more weeks here. I am kind of ready to leave because we do the same thing everyday and I've gained weight with all the sitting we do in class. But I defiantly need more time here, language wise...

Every P-day I am humbled. I think I can speak spanish because my week has been muy bueno... But then we go to the temple. You know how people LOVE missionaries in the US?... Well shocker they love them here too. So of course people try to talk to me. And of course my brain freezes up at that exact minute as well, so I have no clue what they are saying. NONE!!!! No intende!!! No, I do not understand.... At least I am humbled.

It actually rained a few times this week. And when it rains, you can never see the actual rain drops, because you are in the clouds.... You just walk outside and everything is a little damp. Just a little..

This week goes as follows: My district Elders all made a rap about everyone and then rapped them to the whole district. Don't worry, "all good things, all good things"... Please say that last sentence as Olof from Frozen... haha.

We had halloween. But not really.. because halloween is a worldly holiday, so we just ate candy during class. It was nice.

On Sunday, it was fast Sunday. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to share my testimony. I shared a quote I found in my scriptures.... God doesn't call the qualified....He qualifies the called. I LOVE THIS QUOTE because I am worthy to serve a mission, but I don't think that I am qualified enough to do it justice. So I am very grateful He is there to help me in every step of the way.

In class we are learning about Perfect vs. Imperfect. All I have to say is that my mind is blown and I still don't understand it. This is not very good. All you spanish speaking people that will read this will understand. Thank you.

I am now an advancado, and I disliked saying goodbye to the last group of sisters. It was hard. Oh I am also one of the Sister leaders now. My companion and I are. It's a nice little thing we do here. I am basically everyones mom, and all I REALLY have to do is interview every sister at least once during two weeks. I already love it. Yesterday I made little signs for the 14 new hermana's that got here this morning. We also gave them some casinos, which a cookies that are delicious!!! SO GOOD!!!

The only thing that I miss are the smells of home and hugs. No one is tall here, and I can't hug Elders that are tall... so I am hug less... Which kind of sucks. Yesterday they mowed the lawn in the CCM and the smell of fresh cut grass took me back to living in AMERICAN FORK UTAH!!! Oh how I miss those days. I am loving life!!!

In class we talk about the atonement a lot. Which might surprise you but it's true. There is a clip that I want to try and find. Title: The atonement and missionary work by Elder Holland and Elder Eyring... Holy crap I cannot spell... My English gets worst everyday... which might be a good thing. But anyway, It is such a good clip, and I cry every time we watch it.

I am very grateful for the love of Jesus Christo. I am even more grateful for the atonement and his life and example that he is to me each and everyday! I love this gospel! I am so very grateful for the opportunity I am having out here in Peru! I feel Gods love out here and the love you send from home. I know this Church is true! The Book of Mormon is true! READ IT and Heavenly Father will speak to you! I know he does. I love this gospel and the Church is true! If you don't believe me pray about it for your self. I love every single one of you! I miss every single one of you. I pray for you every night, and think about you during the day!
