Well, the topics for this week are the Temple and Sister leaders....
All this past week we were at the temple. Before the public came in on Friday and Saturday, we had VIP's come. It was really interesting to see how many people came. The temple is amazing. I was able to enter Monday afternoon, and it felt like home. And the paintings and EVERYTHING is amazing! Ah. I feel so blessed that I am a missionary right now, and that the people have a temple so close now! They have been waiting for so long for this temple!! It is amazing! :) Today was my first day in charge with my companion and it was interesting to be in charge. Kindly asking people to do things differently, or kindly correcting an error. All in all, it was a good week and a good day! :) After the temple we went to the Mall and all I bought was the different kinds of bread. They are so many different kinds, and they all taste different. It is amazing. But I will be glad to go back to the states and only have the difficult question of white of wheat bread! :) ha.
Sister leaders: My companion is the sister leader for the zone. EVERYONE this week either thought that I was a new sister leader, or said that I am in training because my companion will go back to her home this transfer and their has to be a sister leader....Also, my letter from President Marler this week said, "Learn everything that I can from my companion as a sister leader this change." So I guess I am in training, and there is a bet going on that I will be the next sister leader.
Being in Trujillo is a lot different. I don't really know my area because I am in the temple almost all day, so that is stressing me out a little. But my companion is from Peru and is amazing. She just loves life and is always happy. These 6 weeks will be interesting with the temple and her going home and everything! :)
Life is good. I am happy, and the whether is cooling down, so I don't sweat as much. I live on the 3rd floor, and my penchanista lives on the 2nd floor. The ward members are great and I cant wait to start working with these people. I am way happy and grateful to be here, on my mission and the fact that I get to know all these great sisters and missionaries is amazing! :) I love my life, and all is Great in the world.
I am the only Hermana From the states in my zone, so I don't have anyone to speak english to here. But the 3 hermanas that I eat with all promised to try to speak english during lunch. So we will see how that goes. One of the hermanas knows english and she loves that I talk to her in english, because I help her all the time. :) She TAUGHT her self english... I don't know how she did it, but she Taught herself ENGLISH!!! And the way she says the words is really good too. She doesn't have a latin accent.
Bueno, Life is good. And I don't know what else you want to know about my life as a missionary for the Lord, Jesus Christ!? :) Maybe next week I will have a funny story of something to tell you.
LOVE YOU ALL!!! And truly, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING. YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!!!! I am so happy and glad that I get to call you my family and friends!
Les Amo Mucho,
Hermana Hansen
