WEEK 38: Week 2 Of Training PHOTOS

Sept 7, 2015

First and foremost, thank you for your letters for my birthday and everything! I honestly didn’t think I was going to have time to write you all this week. :)
Everyone asked to know more about my companion. Her name is Hermana Rowley. She is from SLC, Utah. She comes from a family of 4. She is the 3rd child in her family, and is the first of her siblings to go on a mission. She studied at BYU this past year. We graduated the same year, and she plays lacrosse. She is the same height as me and she is a GREAT person. The first week, was a little awkward. She was still figuring things out, and didn’t talk much. I always had to be asking her questions to kill the silence. But now we are the best of friends. We talk openly and lovingly to each other. She loves music, and I am very glad that she brought alot of music with her, because my songs got old after 5 months of listening to them. We sing and dance in our room. :) Well we dance in a way that missionaries can dance.... with our arms. :)

This past p day we hiked a little sand dune, and we took alot of photos. It’s so pretty here.
Today, I was reading in the bible about Adam and Eve, our first parents... to be honest I don’t think that I have ever read this part of the bible, because it doesn’t have alot of information.... like its missing parts that the Pearl of Great Price has... and it hit me.... This is one of the reasons that we needed the restoration. The bible, yes it’s the word of God, but with the BofM we learn so much more about Heavenly Father. Yesterday we taught the plan of Salvation to a family, and they didn’t understand how God could kick them out of the garden, if it was part of his plan... This morning it hit me that they were trying to understand the story from the Bible, but I had studied the BofM, so I knew a few more things then they did... I don’t know. I am just very grateful for the restoration. For the opportunity that I have to know that I have a Father in Heaven, that loves me. He is waiting for me to come live with him again. He wants me to do the best I can, here during this part of my life. And it’s because of this, that he gave us all the things we have in this life to know that he lives, to test his words to know for ourselves, and to return to live with him.
Today, for p day we are having a huge zone party for my birthday. We are going to watch a movie... I know it’s big! But as a missionary.. A Disney movie is the best thing on earth! :) I’m just really happy! :)
Life is good. I am learning alot. My companion is amazing and she loves learning and helping me. She knows the things that we have to do, and is helping me find new ways to do things to help our area.
Thank you for everything that you are doing for me. Please pray that I can keep learning this language and that together we can find these chosen people.
I love you all! Thank you for your love and letter! You are all the best! Thank you for everything!!!
Have a great week!
Love,

Hermana Hansen
