WEEK 42: Week 6 Of Training

October 5, 2015

Well, this week went by really fast! Holy Cow! Life is going good. This weekend with General Conference and everything was icing on the cake. I love this time of year! It's amazing! What a blessing we have to live in a time where we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a Prophet that loves and guides us, and internet/cable to watch and listen to it all. I was able to watch all the sessions, and in english. The only talk that we didn't hear was Elder Oaks, the internet signal cut out, and then cut back in when the closing prayer was being said. So I have no clue if it was good or not, but I was very saddened that I didn't get to hear a great speaker talk. What history we were able to see as 3 new apostles were called. I am so happy, and one of them is my favorite 70.
My Health is a lot better, and I am happy and safe!
Yesterday I had to say goodbye to another sister that is ending her mission. Every 6 weeks I have to say goodbye to another friend, and they always tell me that before I know it, I will be in their place. Three more groups and then it's my turn to say good bye. Ah. My stomach turns just thinking about it.

This week we had a good week. We are teaching a teen, and her mother is a less active. We are, up till this point, only teaching the teen, but we have to help her mother get back into the church and be active.  The teen is AMAZING! We found her knocking on doors, and singing songs. This week she accepted a baptism date for November. AH! For now she is progressing really well, and loves when we come and visit. She is like a little sister of mine. Her name is Fadema.

Also this week, I had a special meeting with President and the new missionaries. President talked about the example that we are setting, and the preparation that we are doing to make sure that our "children" succeed in their missions. I felt a lot of pressure during the meeting, and I now have a different focus on how I need to be training Hermana Rowley. Its had, but not impossible, and with the Lords help, I know that I can do it. One at a time, and a little by little. I know that I can do this. I think I feel a lot of pressure because my daughter is amazing, and well prepared, and for that I think that she will train after her training. She is doing amazing, but is still missing a lot of things... like she is struggling connecting with the people. She doesn't show love, so it is affecting some of the people that we teach... And its hard because I don't know how to show or teach her how to love... I feel like its something that comes slowly and with time... so I am working on that with her.

Last week for our p day we made Tacos, and it was Amazing! MMMM so good! Then after we went to a turf field and played soccer with members. It was so much fun, and everyone was amazed by the few goalie skills that I have up my sleeves. :) It was such a good day. Today I will be cleaning my room, and getting ready for the new missionaries to come. In the zone, 4 new missionaries are coming tomorrow, and I want to do something nice for them.... ;) This change/transfer is going to be amazing.
LOVE YOUALL! until next week, with pictures,
Hermana Hansen
