WEEK 45: Week 9 Of Training

October 26, 2015

WEEK NINE!!!!! wahoo!!! Hermana Rowley has come so long. I am so proud of her, and I am so glad that I have had this time to train her, and see the progress that she has made!

Well,... story time! :) About 2 months ago I lost my watch... well someone stole my watch! Its different. :) But not important... Anyway I was going through this mission life without a watch, and all was well. All was well until we came home late..... It all started out that we went to visit a investigator  We started chatting, and I now love to chat with these people... and time started to pass by quickly. After some time hna. Rowley started playing with her watch, and I thought that she just wanted to leave and visit someone else... so I started to end the conversation  but then the Investigator said something that I had been wanting to ask and talk to her about. So the conversation continued... and continued... until someone asked us what time it was and my companion said, "9:28pm" We have to be in our rooms at 9 and we still had not eaten dinner. So we quickly said a pray, and RAN, we booked it to our room! It was on that night, that I promised to buy a watch! And I finally bought one last week! :) it was funny, but I got scared with how fast time flies during the day!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SATURDAY!!!
Here, they don't celebrate halloween, so we will be sharing candy with ourselves, no one else... its sad, but at the same time it's a blessing because we can visit the people that night, and we don't have to be worried about something bad happening! :)
For the past week I have been working out, and I'm not sore!!! :) Every day, not every other Sunday but every other day I worked out! And today as well. For p day we will be eating with the bunch of the other sisters and then playing soccer! :) I hope that everything works out and that all goes smoothly today. Also, before we can play I have to clean my room. I haven't been very organized lately, and its because I have a lot of stuff... so today I will be going through everything and actually cleaning my room. So I am happy about that. Because in a clean home, you can always feel the Spirit! :)
This week I have also had time to myself in the nighttime to write in my journal and think about the day. I have reallly enjoyed it, because its in these moments that I can see the blessing, small and big, that the Lord is sending my way. :) I feel really blessed, and amazing to be here in Perú!

Wednesday we had an appointment with Chabeli, and I ended up crying.! :) It was amazing, because she really opened up to us and shared her true feeling about being baptized  the church, and her family. We were teaching about the church, the Book of Mormon  and other random stuff... there was a moment when my companion was talking, that I just looked at chabeli and felt an over whelming love for her. It came from the heavens, and it was an amazing feeling. Then I started thinking about how much the Holly Ghost would bless her, and being baptized and everything, when I felt in my heart and mind someone say, "She is ready. This is her time". And I lost it... everyone started looking at me, so I shared my feeling. We were truly sent to get to know her, to help her in this part of her life! It was then, that she started crying, and she told us that we have brought such a light in her life. We have made a mark in her life, and that she doesn't want transfers to come, because she thinks that I will be  leaving. :( I don't want to leave. I love it here! I am hoping for one transfer here, but I am praying that the Lord will send me where He needs me. But anyway  she started crying, and she really told us everything, and now we have a game plan to help her into the waters of Baptism. :) I am very excited for this week. We have a lot of plans to meet with members and ask for references  but I'm afraid that the members will talk a lot .. Like usually! :) Ill write you´ll next week and tell you all about it!
Enjoy your weekend, and remember to take lots of pictures! .
Love,
Hermana Hansen
